So today it is all about street shopping in Delhi. I am going to take you through the fashion street of Connaught Place.. The Janpath Street which is famous for exuberant shopping and eating, all that in one place makes it more fun.
For so many years now it has attracted young crowd from high school to college and working ladies as well. It offers a huge range of clothes to different accessories be it jewelry bags or shoes to both men & women. For the day I wore this beautiful Blue Jumpsuit with a Shrug..Jumpsuits let your skin breathe and doesn’t make you sweat.
The front side of Janpath lane offers a better quality of clothes, footwear and some Boho Style Bags and jewelry which is quite a trend these days. You can bargain alot like they would tell you the bag is for Rs.1500 and you can bring it down to just Rs.500 and take home.
There you can get Kurtas in different colors and some Boho style jewelry. Perfect for scorching summers. Pair them up by picking Palazzo or Skirt with Duppatta. Jewelries are available from Rs.200 to 1500 and goes up till Rs.2300.
This street also offers Kohlapuri Chappals and Juttis which are very trendy and ethnic ranging from Rs.400 to Rs.900 and above. At few shops the rates are fixed an at few one can bargain.
The Inner part of this lane brings you one side clothes and the other side is about bags and mens clothes. The first three shops has Oxidized Boho Jewelry, brass show pieces and lamps for decor and then followed by clothes. The quality of clothes drops a little but are wearable and has all the new trends at affordable prices. Bargaining here is not atall difficult all you need is convincing power.
I would suggest since this street has so much to offer its always better to take a look at everything, take your time and then purchase what you want to.
Also while you shop you can grab Coffee & Snacks from the most famous one Depaul’s shop no: 22 at Janpath. Among all the big names like CCD, Barista, Starbucks, Depaul’s has maintained its place over years now. You can order different flavors like Mocha, Caramel, Chocolate, Almond, Hazelnut, or Sugar Free Cold Coffee. It will take you back in time when you bunked classes to shop and have fun here and meet friends.
Definitely one of my favourite place to be with friends and shop alot at very reasonable prices. If you haven’t yet visited then its highly recommended to go and explore.
